Veramark and Ericsson Sign Reseller Agreement for VeraBill

PITTSFORD, NY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 18, 1999--Veramark Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:VERA) today announced the signing of an important reseller license agreement with Ericsson Telecom S.A. de C.V. Under the agreement Ericsson will license and provide support of the VeraBill billing and customer care system to Ericsson customers in fast growth wireless and wireline markets in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
VeraBill is Veramark's convergent billing and customer care system for providers of wireline, wireless, paging and data transmission services. The target market for VeraBill includes emerging carriers, competitive telecom service providers and legacy operators deploying new network services. There are 26 VeraBill systems installed on five continents including wireline and wireless companies in South America and the Caribbean.
Ericsson Telecom S.A., with headquarters in Mexico City, is a wholly owned subsidiary of LM. Ericsson AB (Nasdaq:ERICY) Stockholm, Sweden. Ericsson is one of the world's leading providers of telecommunications equipment with over 100,000 employees worldwide. Prior to the signing of this agreement, Ericsson had selected VeraBill for resale to Telbo N.V., its customer on Bonaire in the Netherlands Antilles.
