OT Thanks RTev and everyone else who responded. I think you're right about the browser, as it's not working at all today. If that doesn't work, I'll reinstall AOL. It's odd, though, as I've got the same software combination on my Win 95 PII without a problem. Oddly, when the two work on my new machine, downloads can be really slow, which makes me think I should jettison the software modem that came with it for a good old-fashioned external one. I heard about a new operating system in the last couple of days and was wondering if anyone else had heard of it. It's called "Be-" something (it's not Linux, but something completely new). I can't think of the rest of the name, but a guy I was talking to swore by it. Thanks for all your help. Paul
