Around here you can buy feta cheese a lot of different ways, but my favorite is large dices in a jar filled with olive oil marinade. It's more expensive, but it's delicious, on a par with marinaded artichoke hearts. A luxury worth indulging in once in a while. I think a nice salad garnished with marinaded artichoke hearts, marinaded feta, and black olives is delicious. I like the black olives that have pits, Kalamata usually, and I cut the olive meat from the pits and strew it all over the salad, so you can just munch on it without having to stop to spit out the pits. I'd cut up the artichoke hearts and crush the feta, too, so they don't overpower the salad greens.
