eToys Tops List as Most Customer-Focused Online Merchant

BOSTON, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Patricia Seybold, founder of the Patricia Seybold Group and author of the best-selling book Customers.com: How to Create a Profitable Business Strategy for the Internet and Beyond, today announced her selection of the top ten online merchants who demonstrated the most customer-centric, complete, and reliable shopping experience during the 1998 holiday season. Seybold, who scrutinized 34 e-tailing sites during her holiday gift shopping, used a set of 30 selection criteria resulting in a top pick of eToys, a well-known online toy store, closely followed by amazon.com and eddiebauer.com.
