I heard about a new operating system in the last couple of days and was wondering if anyone else had heard of it. It's called "Be-"something

Just Be. (Sounds like a 60s rock song, eh?) be.com Be Inc. was started by Jean-Louis Gass‚e, a former Apple executive. BeOS was originally developed for the PowerPC chip. For a short time, it looked like Apple might welcome Gassee back into the fold by adopting Be as its next-generation OS. Instead, Apple chose Next, and got a new CEO along with the OS.

Be re-focused its efforts. The OS will now run on either Wintel or Mac machines. They claim it will easily run alongside either Windows or MacOS.

I haven't tried it out yet, but plan to RSN.
