Manny!
I have experienced some difficulties with sending and receiving e-mails. Therefore, I couldn't get back to you earlier.
There are two things that are rather interesting in this IPO.
First - it's unusual! LaBranche is the first NYSE specialist that goes public.
Second - Labranche for some reasons doesn't postpone its IPO (as far as I know) which means that they are either confident enough about its IPO or they are just above all these market tendencies or may be both?
I didn't get any shares yet. I hope to buy some tomorrow if, of course, "the market environment" will be reasonable.
With regard to the future of this company after the IPO I can only say that it mostly depends on understanding of investors towards this, I would say, brave gesture of this respectful financial company to go IPO! Let's not forget - this will be the same company (I hope!) with the same business profile and infrastructure which had been formed during 75 years and is called reputation!
