"....We put together our list of "The 20 Most Inflated Tech Stocks" in early July, detailing our top picks for a comeuppance. We pointed out that stocks with high valuations carry high risks, and that there's a big difference between a good company and a good stock. .."

"All 10 Internet stocks on the list dropped, with the biggest decline registered by online retailer Value America Inc. (VUSA), which fell 62 percent. "

"What's more, most of the stocks that rose underperformed the general tech sector. The Morgan Stanley High-tech 35 Index rose 13 percent between May 14 and Aug. 13. But of the eight Inflated 20 stocks that rose, five of them rose less than 13 percent. These include sterling companies such as Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) and Dell Computer (DELL). Only Qualcomm, Broadcom Corp. (BRCM), and EMC Corp. (EMC) beat the industry average. "
