Tex, on the soon-to-be-off-topic matter of Ellen's interview, I have to disagree that it is a simple or obvious matter to demand a retraction or threaten suit. Frankly, Xoma did pretty well getting the offending item removed from the web and a slightly sanitized version substituted.

I, too, have a fair amount of experience dealing with our friends in the Fourth Estate. If there is one thing they are very good at it is polishing their own image. Know any industry that spends so much ink reporting the obscure awards they like to give themselves? If they resent anything deeply, it is the implication they are biased, stupid, or inept writers; the more biased, stupid, and inept they are, the more they resent it.

Just about the worst thing Xoma could have done for its future relations with the press was to threaten Bloomberg.
