I don't think you really got the point of why WLGS
was proposing VDMA. It proposed VDMA as a way of
reducing the number of base stations, and possibly
as a way of eliminating base stations. The idea is
to create some kind of chain of users from
the transmitter to the receiver. How does WLGS know
it would have enough subscribers in any given
area to build its chain? This is absurd-- no sane
business person would rely on a service with less than
99.99% reliability.

Also, re. battery power, if I recall, you are
worried about it for GSTRF. So, it is an issue for
GSTRF, but not for WLGS?

IMHO, VDMA belongs on the same list of kooky
half-baked ideas as Alexander ``I am in charge'
Haig's Skystation (which plans to offer Blimpternet
access to the masses, at least not on windy days).
