Anybody interested in anecdotal information about the public school system? A friend started a teaching job in a neighboring county yesterday where school had been in session for about 10 days. She does not have a classroom. Nor will she have a classroom for the remainder of the year. She will float around school teaching in other teachers' classrooms during their planning periods. One teacher does not leave while she is in there. She does have a desk in the nurse's office in the school's main office. Before this was found, her car was suggested as a place she could keep things. She asked for a pad of paper. They didn't have any. She asked for a red pencil. They didn't have any. Her math class has 2 different textbooks, i.e. there aren't enough copies of the same book to go around the class. Anybody think this school has any need for fundraising? Regards, Suzanne
