There may be. I don't consider this to be such a big deal. AMD needed to get a chipset out there more than they needed a perfect chipset. Via et all may be developing their own or they may have simply gotten AMD's netlist (design) so they can produce it for themselves. AMD doesn't need to waist the fab capacity on a low margin chipset. Let the Taiwaneese do it, they're good at it.
