from Briefing.com) E-Tailers : The holiday season drum beating has started a little earlier than usual this year. This morning, Merrill Lynch Internet analyst Henry Blodget gave e-tailing stocks a shot in the arm with upgrade of Amazon.com (AMZN) from near-term "accumulate" to "buy," in anticipation of blow-out holiday sales in the e-tailing group. Blodget is predicting that online sales will double or triple from the year-ago period. Also included in analyst's basket of holiday favorites was eToys (ETYS)... While concerned that Internet group will experience at least one more correction before holiday season break-out, also believe that is never too early to begin preparing a shopping list.
