Jill, I am again very bullish on MSFT---always was on a long term basis. Now even short term, it should outperform the Nasdaq like it did today. I keep going back the Intel example when it started moving up. I had gotten impatient simply due to all those negative analyst calls on Intel and got out. I had felt that these "experts" would not let the stock climb.
In MSFT's case it is not the analysts but the people who believe in the Linux hype OR fear the worst from the lawsuit. These fears are going to be pushed aside especially as we get closer to the launch of MSFT's important product, Windows2000. Then all the positives are going to come back fast. That is why the heavy volume in recent days but little upward movement in the stock was a great sign of its strength. At some point it is going to fly.
I have gotten to the point where i am willing to accept the downside risk in MSFT and just invest aggressively (however no options trading).

I am beginning my cheerleading! Go Microsoft!!!
