You're right. Most embedded CHIPS are not date sensitive. Most don't really care. [I have some actual chips and motherboards that I use when I explain to people how these things work.]

Even many embedded SYSTEMS don't care about "dates".

But, what they do care about is INCREMENTS OF TIME ... forward and past. That's the problem.

SCADA systems are part of embedded systems. PLC's are part of embedded systems. Real time clocks are part of embedded systems. List goes on. And, unfortunately, some of these DO care about date. If only to roll back to 1900.

I agree.

Even though there have been a couple of extreme, "off the edge" people on this thread. [Who drove many of us crazy.] Most of the previous particiants on this thread have not been extremists.

Edwarda - the only reason you showed up on this thread in the first place was because Cheeky nominated Ken as a "Thread Moron" on that on that "Thread Moron" thread you guys hang out on. Don't try to pass yourself off as some expert.
