Re: <That's unfortunate...but it doesn't necessarily follow that Cypress management orchestrated this issue, as you irresponsibly and incorrectly stated in a previous posting.>

In no way shape or form did I imply that the price drop was "orchestrated" by management. I did imply and stand by my opinion that management was RESPONSIBLE for the poor performance, yet they BENEFITED greatly from the situation that they had created and were responsible for. Much more greatly was their benefit than the average shareholder of the past 4 years.

And that simply put is an injustice and morally reprehensible. All in my opinion of course.

You won the bet with Alan. Thats great. No problem there. A bet is a bet. (Your side was a gimme by the way. 90% chance you should have won) And an investment choice is an investment choice for which no one is responsible except the one who made it. And I firmly believe that top level pay and "other" compensation has gotten way out of hand. It seems to be a right now, rather than based on anything close to performance. When management screws up and doesn't generate a return for the shareholder, then their return should be the same. Zero. Just like the net return to CY shareholdrers since late 1995.
