The thought of Baby Bell's using IDT's backbone is tantalizing. Who else beside IDTC is capable of offering this service?

I wonder how much IDTC's switches help give them a cost advantage over the other players getting out of the game (RSL, Pacific)? With Lucent buying EXCEL, does that mean the relative price competitors pay for switches will be even less favorable?
