The monkey I was describing did not learn it from another monkey, and she (her name was Grace, I believe) taught it to the others without language. It was the invention that was remarkable, as it was described. It was unique, and without precedent, for this group of monkeys. Clearly the result of reason, which is sapience. As for what the rest of us do, even me, although I wouldn't presume to speak for you, I don't know that I invent or originate anything, I just copy what the others do. Is that sapience?
