They are a private "for hire" intelligence source with a global focus. They pass out this info as a way of advertising. They are analysis oriented. I think they are based in Texas. My impression is that they read global situations rather well. I wouldn't discount their views out of hand. Strident? I don't get that impression. Their home web page is www.stratfor.com. Check them out, I think of them as a breath of fresh air when compared with the packaged and processed stuff passed off as news from the more traditional American sources.
