EAST LANSING, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 19, 1999--Voyager.net,
Inc. (Nasdaq: VOYN), a leading full-service Internet provider focused
on the Midwest, today announced an agreement with Covad Communications
Company (Nasdaq: COVD), a leading provider of high-speed DSL services.
This agreement will allow Voyager.net to provide competitive, high-
speed DSL access across the Midwest to both business and consumer
markets.
Voyager.net's relationship with Covad will allow Voyager.net
subscribers to obtain speeds over 50 times faster than using a
standard, 28.8 Kbps modem through DSL technologies. The TeleSpeed(R)
service, aimed towards businesses, will offer a full range of speeds
and top-quality service level agreements at a competitive price. The
residential TeleSurfer(TM) service will be available to home users at
speeds of 384 Kbps and 768 Kbps at a discounted price.

Voyager.net will initially launch the Telespeed(R) and
Telesurfer(TM) services to the Detroit, MI. and Chicago, IL. metro
areas and will be working with Covad to expand that service throughout
the Midwest.
