ZMAX Launches National Management Consulting Practice Recruits Industry Executive, Dr. Michael Hildreth, to Lead New Practice GERMANTOWN, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 19, 1999--ZMAX Corporation (NASDAQ:ZMAX - news) today announced that Michael Hildreth, Ph.D., has joined the Company to head the new management consulting practice.
This action is part of ZMAX's previously announced plan to expand into high-growth, high-end niches of the information technology (IT) market through both internal growth and acquisitions.
Michael C. Higgins, president and chief executive officer of ZMAX, notes, ``We have practice leaders in place for all of our existing IT segments: e-business, enterprise resource planning (ERP), and client server development. With the hiring of Dr. Hildreth, we have established a fourth practice area, management consulting, that will ensure that business strategies, processes, and technology solutions are integrated throughout all of our services.'

Dr. Hildreth's background includes 25 years of experience in corporate management, information systems, education and consulting. Prior to joining ZMAX, Hildreth was vice president - technology, of CNA Insurance, a multi-line international financial and insurance company.
Earlier positions included serving as director of CIO solutions at AnswerThink Consulting Group, professional services director for Sequent Computer Systems, and vice president of solutions development for Computer Horizons Corporation. He also has held various management and technical positions at Ameritech, Bellcore, AT&T and Illinois Bell.
Hildreth holds a Ph.D. in organizational development from LaSalle University, as well as Masters of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in management from National-Louis University.
