E-NET CANADA'S ONLINE MORTGAGE EXPLORER PRESENTED WITH CHATELAINE MAGAZINE'S "EDITORS'CHOICE" AWARD

Monday, July 19, 1999, 10:18 AM EDT
Toronto, Ontario

Online Mortgage Explorer (OME), developed by e-Net Canada, was awarded Chatelaine Magazine's "Editors Choice" as one of the best Money websites for women on the Web.

OME can now be accessed through Chatelaine's on-line magazine's website at www.chatelaine.com.

Since its inception in 1996, OME has grown to become Canada's largest multi-lender mortgage origination website.
The site is used extensively by consumers and mortgage brokers to apply for a mortgage on-line and to compare rates from various lenders.

Online Mortgage Explorer has experienced a 183 percent year to year growth offering borrowers access to eight of Canada's largest lenders including Bank of Montreal, MCAP Mortgage Corporation and CIBC.

"Because the correspondence between borrower and lender is completely confidential, e-Net Canada does not have a description of people using our system," said Jason Smith, vice-president of Mortgage Services for e-Net Canada.

"However, based on market statistics, we know that women constitute a major portion of mortgage applications and it is especially high in terms of mortgage renewals. Undoubtedly, women have made a substantial contribution to the increase in traffic on OME."

The latest estimate from CommerceNet/Nielsen Media Research (June 1999) sets the number of adults on-line in North America at 92 million with women accounting for 46% of users.

"Chatelaine provides an on-going service in identifying useful websites that help women to achieve their financial goals," said Dorothy Vreeker, Chatelaine Connects Online Editor. "The Internet can be very confusing so we offer links on Chatelaine's on-line magazine's website to make it easy for our readers to identify the most credible and easy-to-use financial Internet sites."

Online Mortgage Explorer, accessed through www.themortgage.com and now through Chatelaine's website at www.chatelaine.com is extremely easy to use. Potential borrowers fill out an information form with particular financial information. OME then matches the borrower's responses to each lender's criteria and preference. Borrowers can examine responding lender's products and select the most appropriate lender.

e-Net Canada is a leading provider of Internet-based electronic commerce applications and networks for the financial services sector in North America.

e-Net works closely with e-commerce industry leaders and financial organizations, and their trading partners to deliver innovative business-to-business market solutions. Initially focussed on the mortgage industry, e-Net's financial e-commerce solutions increase profitability and improve customer service levels through secure transaction services.

e-Net developed Online Mortgage Explorer (OME), one of North America's first and Canada's largest multi-lender on-line mortgage origination network.

e-Net has signed a conditional letter agreement with Autrex Inc. (AUT.A, AUT.B/TSE) for a reverse take-over planned for September, 1999.
