some good news from Vancouver Province paper "Robert Chase, president of Vancouver-based South Pacific Resources Corp., says his office in Indonesia was assured over the weekend that only Bre-X will have its contracts of work delayed. The contracts of work, or COWs, are required for mining development to begin. Earlier news reports said all contracts of work, including Bre-X's, were to be delayed after new tests results cast doubt on the size of the Busang gold deposit." Chase said Sunday his company has been assured by the secretary of Indonesia's directorate general of mines and energy that contracts of work wouldn't be delayed, except for Bre-X's."
