Regarding the beaches, I think that the only "warm" one that I can even remember out east is Cavendish Beach on P.E.I. It was quite warm, but very crowded with people. That area is a tourist mecca because of the close proximity to the Anne of Green Gables Cottage... definitely not my cup of tea as you might guess. I'd much rather float down the Gaspereau River draped over a big tractor tire inner-tube, with huge trees over-arching the river and the odd cow mooing at me as I doze off... aaaahhh...now THAT'S the life...
