GLMC - News of "NETWORK ASSOCIATES" coming online will propel stock price:

An interesting comment from an executive in their Vancouver office: "…the staff is often undecided on whether to issue small releases, or one big one." Some of you are undoubtedly aware of a surge in interest in broadband companies, and that media, television and radio, will be merged with the internet. The internet simply has too many advantages with advertising potential for this not to happen. Global Media looks like a good bet for both your short and long term investment. They can best be described as a combination Amazon.com - Broadcast.com, having combined an e-commerce solution (www.globalmedia.com) with a broadband and advertising solution. The big news this exec was likely referring to was the number of network associates coming online, and with the NAB (broadcasters) Convention beginning August 31, this news release is likely to be very soon. It looks to me like they experimented with a few small releases early in the month with no success (market downtrends didn't help). In visiting the Vancouver office, I checked out first hand what this company is about, and they are definitely growing. I got a look at their Global Player demo, which built in cooperation with Global Media and the demands of Global Media's clients, is an early release of Real Network's most advanced technology. Not likely that this relationship with Real Networks would exist if something significant isn't in the works, and the announcement of, say, triple digit network associates would be significant, even for Real Networks. As Global Player is mostly a product of Real Networks, there's a possibility Real will support Global in the likely event that an announcement is made. Global is currently trading at around 6 1/4, with a float of 2.3 million and 20.5 million outstanding.
