Heinz, I once read a futuristic story where there were two classes of people. The upper class did things like installing speedometers in cars that would read 100mphs when they were really going 50mph. The lower class was satisfied with the illusion that they were going fast and they trusted the objective instruments. I am sure that there is a parallel in there someplace. he way i see it, people positively want to be lied to....who cares about uncomfortable truths? I wish I could remember what the title of the story was and/or the author. JXM
