What people "do" for a living is irrelevant to this discussion.

Yes, It's great when the programmers and systems engineers participate, especially David Eddy (who's presence I greatly miss), but the essence of the debate must rely on the facts, no matter who provides them.

There are some very savvy people who understand the implications of Y2K, yet have never written a line of code.
