Here's a good example of the goings on in chats. There was a news story about SIMS planning some 100 million dollar IPO spin off. Stock ran from under a dollar to 1 3/8 on this 'news'.

Of course the local talent started pumping this thing to death. Then someone posted that the total market cap of SIMS was a big fat 18 million. Hmmmmm, the math escapes me.

Stock died then and there, and folks that took this warning to heart either didn't buy or sold.

Also, my earlier post had more to do with a few wise guys using the room for their personal benefit, than the usefulness of the chats.
