Pose, I can confirm right now they are way above the third sand. Nobody has suggested that they are in the third Temblor sand layer.

To the best of my knowledge, we are at about 17,430 feet, some 10-30 feet into the second sand. The second sand layer is expected to be on the order of 400 feet thick.
They lost circulation twice in the second sand, which may be where your confusion comes from.
