TOKYOJOE ANNOUNCES INVESTMENT OPINION BUSINESS EDITORS NOTE TO EDITORS: THE FOLLOWING IS AN INVESTMENT OPINION ISSUED BY TOKYOJOE NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AUG. 19, 1999--TOKYO JOE'S SOCIETE

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 19, 1999--Tokyo Joe's Societe
Anonyme, the stock advisory service at url: tokyojoe.com, ,
had a gain of 211% in three days from a buy issued late August 16 on
Information Mgmt. Assoc. (NASDAQ: IMAA.O). As of mid-day today, IMAA was
trading at 13 1/4, rising 55% for the day and hitting a new 52-week
high. Noting the low float and high short positions in IMAA, Tokyo Joe
told his members in an August 18 e-mail that they "have a dragon by
the coat-tails." He further stated that, just as other commentators
have noticed that IMAA has the best reverse-auction model on the
market, it would become "the New PCLN (Nasdaq: Priceline.com Inc.)."
Tokyo Joe's calls have been uncanny all summer. After a CMGI buy alert
at 72 issued on June 15, CMGI quickly reached 93 1/8 by the close of
market on Wednesday, June 16 and later peaked at over 120. Likewise,
Knight/Trimark Group Inc. (NASDAQ: NITE.O) was bought at 41 and peaked
at over 64. A buy of Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL.O) at 27 3/8 peaked at just
under 40. Other buys were placed on High Speed Access (Nasdaq: HSAC.O)
at 17 13/16 (peaked at 49 3/16, a 180% gain) and Xircom, Inc. (Nasdaq:
XIRC) at 25 (peaked at 36). Additional buys made on Tuesday, June 15
showed the following gains after the second day: At Home Corporation
up 16 3/4 points (21.5% gain), Amazon.com, Inc. up 19 11/16 points
(21.4% gain), Priceline.com Inc. (PCLN) up 12 3/4 points, Infoseek
Corporation up 5 1/4 points (11.9% gain), Lycos, Inc. up 8 7/16 points
(11.4% gain), and America Online up 5 points (5.5% gain).
Tokyo Joe turned defensive July 19, shorting DoubleClick, Inc.
(NASDAQ: DCLK.O) at 100. He did this jointly with a buy of Engage
Technologies Inc. He reasoned that ENGA has the best "fingering"
technology available and that the "CMGI buy of Alta Vista will give
them the right to cancel the existing 3 year contract 1/8with DCLK 3/8,
with escape clause built in" and give that account to CMGI's IPO,
ENGA. ENGA hit 47 before pulling back recently, while DCLK bottomed
around 60 before bouncing back. Additional short alerts issued July 19
were: IBM (NYSE: IBM) for 9 points, QUALCOMM, Inc. (NASDAQ: QCOM.O) for
8 points, and At Home Corporation (NASDAQ: ATHM.O) for 3 points.
