Kap,

<Whoever it was, it allowed me to sell 50 contracts of September $20 puts for $2 1/2. >

I was tempted to do the same but I am a little uncomfortable with the launch so far - can't yet count 1Mu K7s for Q4.

There is something that concerns me about Q3 and Q4 (especially if Athlon does not hit the 1Mu level). Looks like AMD is nailing down its new segmentation strategy with K6-2/K6-3 and we should know better in the next week or so. The question is will this strategy lift the ASP*Unit numbers meaningfully from the Q1/Q2 levels?

Do you (or anyone on the thread) see anything that could impact the stock price favorably in before Q3 earning? Here is my list:

- Dell or Gateway or HP announcement (IMHO, worth probably 5, 2, 1 points respectively)
- Analyst upgrades (without additional OEM announcements this one is tough to call)
- Athlon Ultra introduction (October?)
- Earnings pre-release (mid-to-late september, if at all)

Chuck
