Karen- no, do not assume that, based on the Circle of Domino, the Iron Triangle and the Fatal Five concepts, e.g., if one corner fails, it take 'take down' all the other ones also, and immediately, and fatally. Gas is not one of the 'legs' initself, but would be combined with electricity. find out how dependent your city is on it vs. the other alt systems. check North site under utilities, and check back articles to find out about the interrelationship between gas and the rest of the infrastructure.
