Right now you have the yen at 111 to the dollar which is going to put strain on American Imports. The cause of the Asian crisis was over evaluation in assets correct? Corporate Japan is is doing exactly what the US did four years ago By letting the Asian market dictate asset value internally and leaving their currency alone they could end up in much better shape than we are IMHO This could create greater stress on our dollar as other nations move towards creating their own technology .
