Fez,
Hi!!!

I think I have 50 or more releases concerning CHINA...Mohan has been more than generous in supplying us with information from the area of the world that has made me "drool" many times...Specifically the move to Singapore is something I'm quite sure is a benefit to DELL..Legere was hired to direct this area...I believe he had an extensive background with AT+T in this region prior to DELL hiring him...
What I do remember are some of the quotes with regards to growth in this area: Mort has told us (last August) that "China will be the #2 market for DELL within the next five years"...As recently as yesterday Happy Cat posted a lengthy post from a gentleman on the Yahoo thread who had stated that there were more PC's in the state of Oregon (can't remember the actual) than presently in all of China..
Yes....I keep telling everyone I know that IMO the real trump card in DELL's growth is China..I firmly believe in the DELL model...but, what the adoption rate will be in China is anyone's guess...I surely like what I have read...It's old now..but, it was an article in IBD ...gosh three years ago almost?? ...that prompted me to buy my largest % of DELL in one swoop...
Fez...I don't know if this is what you specifically wanted to hear..I know I like talking about it..because DELL has always conquered at a higher rate in the newer areas they decide to enter..So far (from what I have in the "bibles") DELL's growth in China is a cause for my excitement...Legere telling us "it's profitable" gives us all an indication that the unknown profit for the future is already working for us...On top of all the DELL predictions...we all should remember that the basic philosophy of DELL management is "to underestimate and then go overachieve"... :o)

Best, Kemble
