Any transfer speed over 1Mbytes/sec should not cause too many complaints for at least another 2 years.

The baby Bells are not going to stay idle for the cable companies or the wireless companies to walk all over them in the future. Cisco's CEO recently also pledged to support the baby Bells for the future of networking.

I thought the baby Bells were finished up until half a year ago. These guys do have an ace up to their sleeves. AOL should benefit from that. After all, AOL has already struck a deal with SBC. That is one very big one in the basket already.
