Time Traveler, I have reason to believe that AOL will complete an alliance with Bell Atlantic within the month. The Bell Atlantic DSL people tell me I will be able to have AOL for free, in addition to BellAtantic.net, the primary ISP affiliated with its DSL service.

The response from the Bell Atlantic DSL people was in answer to my question to them whether I would be able to access AOL (BYOA) through DSL, and they assured me I could, and moreover, that I would have access to AOL for free (not $9.95) within a month. This suggests to me that AOL will shortly announce an alliance with Bell Atlantic for high speed internet access via DSL.
