Status as of August 20, 1999:
It has been a very busy few weeks since my last status report.
We announced our new Web Services division and the hiring of our talented Web Services Manager, Mr. Bill Ulrich. The creation of the Web Services division was another piece in the framework of the new Planet City overall plan to become a sole source provider of quality software and services across the entire spectrum of Information Technology environments. This announcement generated much interest from existing and prospective clients. As a result, we are in negotiations on additional Web Services contracts.
We announced a major upgrade to the Millennium Bug Compliance Kit (MBCK), and an entirely new web site dedicated to the sale and support of the product. See mbck.com . Additional news regarding the promotion and distribution of the product will be announced shortly.
We announced the Computer Associates (CA) channel partnership. This greatly expands our sales revenue potential. This relationship is far more than just a product reseller arrangement for CA's many desktop products. As a Silver level member of the CA Enterprise Solution Provider program, Planet City acts as an extension to CA's own sales and services organizations in the mainframe, desktop, and Internet environments. And, since the agreement permits us to cooperatively pursue consulting engagements with Computer Associates Global Professional Services group, it fits right in with our corporate strategy of being service-centric. CA has more consulting requirements than they can handle, so they will "push" some of their clients our way, and we'll "pull" CA products into the engagements. It's a win-win-win. A win for our mutual clients, a win for CA, and a win for Planet City. Note that this agreement was reached in early July, and it took until mid August for the Press Release to be published by CA. The fact that the news did not leak out is a tribute to the integrity of the many people involved.
We visited the New York and San Francisco areas to tell the evolving story of Planet City's turnaround to several analysts, brokers, and mutual fund managers. These visits generated a lot of enthusiasm for the company, and should quickly result in a higher demand for our stock shares. The company has made significant strides in the past 5 months. Those who hear the story and recognize the potential are very supportive of our efforts.
While all this was happening, other activities were going on behind the scenes. Some additional news items are forthcoming in the near future.
A "Safe Harbor" statement follows my sign off.
Regards,
Terry E. Dennis, President & CEO Planet City Corp (OTC BB: PINC)
