The REFR stock fraud. The Yahoo and SI message boards are peppered with shills for this scam company. One of the more unusual ones goes by the handle "Norma Dixon" on SI and posts under (what I believe to be) at least 3 or 4 other aliases on Yahoo on a daily basis - sometimes having complex and bizarre conversations with him/herself. A particularly funny shill goes by the handle "David Zimmer" on SI. In his profile he claims to be an "active broker/dealer" for an outfit named "Congressional Securities". I could find no NASD record of Zimmer or Congressional. I confronted him and asked for an address or contact info for Congressional - but his answer was evasive: Message 10978821 I listened to the conference call: Message 11009641 I was astounded that the CEO - Robert Saxe wasn't involved. Instead, Joe Harary, VP and corporate counsel, did the entire call which was basically a long tired rehash of the 35 year-old story of this supposedly astonishing technology which never quite seems to make it into the market. What really struck me as odd during the call was that the first question came from none other than Mr. "David Zimmer" and he again claimed his affiliaton to "Congressional Securities"!!! Guess what they talked about first? That's right - short sellers and the message board "controversy". I now believe Research Frontiers to be nothing more than a criminal enterprise that exists for the sole purpose of selling worthless stock to individual investors at grossly inflated prices. Short to zero.
