<Frankly -I don't have any expectations>

But you have enough expectation to say that AMD expecations of 1Mu are wrong and that there are "realistic expecations" out there. So, what are those "realistic expectations" that you were talking about?

<I just watch what is happening with the AThlon - and right now, I don't see much of anything happening.

And that's a real negative for AMD - due to Intel's product slippages over the past 3 months.>

AMD could have done better to exploit Intel's slippage - a feeling shared by a lot of the people on this thread.

<The Profusion Chip Set is being launched, >

Good for Intel but not too good. I have yet to hear anything good about Cascades from the people who have had access to it. Good chipset with weak CPU - looks like AMD has a good opening here.

<CuSooner-rather-than-Latermine at very "interesting" clock speeds.>

Without 0.13 in 2000, Intel doesn't have a prayer of staying in the MHz race, don't you think?

<AthLATE is a year 2000 product - and NOT a 1999 product>

Are you sure you are talking about K7 and not CuMine? To set the record striaght, Intel slipped CuMine systems by 2 months and AMD slipped K7 systems by 2 months. One was an old dated core with new cache and one was a ground-up new design. So, who is executin better here. What happened to the much vaunted Intel's process advantage?
