The notion the Fed will "get out of the game" is absurd.
Greenspan has a job to do and he will do it. He will
continue to monitor all relevant economic data on a
regular basis and he will take whatever monetary policy
action he must in order to steer toward a steady
sustainable economic growth track.
Now that the dollar appears to have entered its own
bear market, Greenspan has even more to worry about that
he had last month. With the Presidential election still
15 months away, he has plenty of leeway to do his job.
Just my two cents.
The chances of the Fed leaving the game are zero.
