Techstock must be overloaded today ! I have a hard time getting
a response from www.techstocks.com.

Anyway, the Korean government action follows the give and take
(in the South Korean context) : industry gave a little, govt gave
a little.

To me, it sounds like a subsidy. Subsidies to big companies are
common in US too. We call them property tax relief, special
assessments etc. I guess the impact depends on the actual
amount of money in question. I dont have a good feel for that.

However, when I run some numbers through, I can easily see that
the Korean manufacturers can help themselves very easily simply by
reducing production. However, they may want to maintain
pressure on the Taiwanese.

We will have to wait and see if Micron makes this reduction an
issue.
