EVERYONE has the ability and right to add something in a positive way to
this thread.

I'm finding myself agreeing with Ron here. I don't mind the daytraders showing up on the thread it keeps me informed of where the irratic stock movements are coming from. Usually I have to do a SI search to see who's hitting on my stocks and then have to endure the "chat level" posts complete with "sticker spam" that seem to be the drumbeat that these guys follow.
What lead me to SI in the first place is that I wanted to try to understand why the stock I held all of a sudden started acting totally irrationally (whereas before they were simply irrational).
If there is anyone out there that still doesn't think that the market acts irrationally....just answer me this. How could the value of a company like Intel (I use Intel as an example rather than ATHM because its value was move closely attached to fundemental values- ei. profits) change in value over 25-50% (up and down) in a matter of months (let alone 6-10% overnight)? And why do we think that there isn't someone out there that would attempt to capitalize on this irrational movement. In the years I held Intel, I told myself over and over that a person could make all there money just buying and selling this stock over and over....and guess what, they can and they do.
