"Apparently the reliability of cable in general is a problem so far." My TCI cable modem with free installation in the Seattle area has been very fast and reliable for the last nine months. I have noticed two outages for a few hours in the middle of the night during winter wind storms. I have also noticed some slow downs during peak periods but never to the slow pace of my 56K modem. Poor performance of cable modems in some areas must be bandwidth related and not technology driven. These are things that IFCI can fix. Mark
