MNI, I realize that your response was not directed to me. But I would like to add another perspective about the fact that all people are not equal intellectually. I do agree that for some people pushing a broom may be the only occupation that they are capable of doing. The point I am trying to make is about the difference in social classes. I have a friend who was born and raised in Germany. She married an American soldier and has now lived in th U.S. for about 15 years. She explained the strict division of social classes in Germany and other European countries. In other words, if your father is a factory worker, you're going to also be a factory. Since living in the U.S. she has gone to college, has a Master's degree, and is working on a PHD. She said that in Germany these options would not have been available to her. She is a very intelligent person, making top scores in all of her studies in a language that is not her mother tongue. So I don't think the reason college would not have been available to her in Germany is because she's not smart enough. Having been born and raised in the U.S. it's hard for me to understand that a person can be limited in such a way. Regards, C Kahn
