a mania that is driven by an overly-optimistic view of an uncertain future.

Eric, AND a mania that is driven by an overly-performing reality of the stock price. Ask youself honestly.."the reasons you shorted Amzn for a few times a few weeks ago"?

What's the reason I am holding 500 Amzn shares right now(cumulated in the 90s a couple of weeks ago) and for a few more weeks? I would like to sell them for $130 a.s.a.p. So my reason is that I think that I can make $40 per share via Amzn in 4 weeks. Am I speculating? YES!

When a stock swings as much as Amzn, it attracts speculation, which in terms creating more swings!
