I'm quite sure it's possible. I'm just peeved that Tom isn't considering the other possibilities, that the Athlon motherboard shortage is just part of the regular pains of execution. He seems to be jumping rather prematurely onto the conclusion that Intel is behind all of this.

And no doubt Tom is getting a lot of e-mail saying, "Yeah, why didn't I think of that before? Thanks for making me realize how evil Intel really is!" This guy has a lot of influence in the PC community.

Who knows? Maybe Tom is right, and Intel really is "co-ercing" people away from Athlon. But Tom has a history of jumping to premature conclusions. I have reason to believe that this may be more of the same.
