Bob, I found your information interesting. Do you have any data on the number of units of various types that the larger OEMs put out? And what then would you call a 'reasonable' size for an initial product entry? 50,000 or 100,000 units?
Lev did provide guidance during the call that he didn't expect someone would give him an outright order for 4M cells, but would place a more moderate order, and see how the market accepted the product first. This seemed to be why he though there would be no conflict between his rampup to his quoted rate, and product ordering.
BTW, I would estimate his quoted rate as equivalent to roughly 8000 laptop cells and 14,000 cellphone cells per day. If he is currently able to do 1/4 of that, say, that would be more than enough to start delivering to a modest order (e.g., 100,000 laptop cells shipped at rate of 5-10,000 cells per week). |
