Hassell, re DEC (gloriously off topic!): This isn't an April Fools' answer, but close. I confess I haven't been following it... I'm a bit afraid to look. No, actually, I'm rather afraid to look. On the other hand, as a techie, I remain impressed with the Alpha CPU, and with the AltaVista search engine. I just wish I thought that the company knew how to make money with them. If you think that they're getting it together again, perhaps I should reexamine them. I haven't owned any DEC since my wife & I bought our first house... the DEC employee stock plan shares were most of our down payment.
