If in fact we use TA to enter a position then don't we also use TA to exit a position???

Excellent question indeed. I believe this is the heart of success. Every success story I have read has this element. Consistent use of one system to get in AND out. I believe sticking with the same formula leads to bigger profits and smaller losses.

Using one system, be it some formulation of TA or whatever, to get in and another system (like pick a number any number) leads to confusion, loss, and difficulty in establishing a consistent and repeatable profit scheme. Mixing systems will cost you many small dings and eventually leave you open to a devastating hit. It will also cause you to forego many big profits that could offset your losses.

This topic requires some deep meditation. I don't think the power in this approach is easily seen. It will require thought and practice.

In additition, I have been giving substantial study to the problems that arise from mixing signals from different time frames. I see many of the same problems as mixing systems.
