<< I think people get abortions for many irresponsible reasons. >>

I disagree. For most women, having an abortion is a gut wrenching, emotional and awful experience. For most, having an abortion is a responsible and necessary decision.

<< And my personal opinion is that gender selection is the worst of many. >>

So, lets let the law read: "Abortion for any reason", so that it does not offend anyone.

<< In gender selection, the parents have made a decision to have a baby and kill it if it is not the gender of their preference. So, to me this is premeditated murder. >>

A fetus has neither a soul, or is a viable person. It can't be murder.

<< Where as becoming pregnant because of irresponsibility, and having an abortion would be equivalent to reckless manslaughter. >>

Ok, if women would pledge that they became pregnant while being totally responsible, would you approve of abortion in that case?

<< OK, Which is worse?

1)premeditated murder

2)reckless manslaughter
>>

Both of them are acceptable if you are talking about Conservative Republicans being the victim. <g>
