But a good way to reduce time on scans, is to run a main prescan that looks at only the stocks you want to trade. You might not want to trade any stocks under $5 or that doesn't have 100,000 avg daily volume. The main scan lets you eliminate any that you don't want to trade, a volume portion eliminates groups and a max price any indices.

Now use this as an input to other scans. I reduce my stocks to about 300-400 stocks, they whip thru the other scans like wildfire. It is nice to have data on 10,000+ stocks but you don't have enough hours in a day to follow them.
